Position Overview

Jetaire Flight Systems, a leader in aircraft design and parts manufacturing, is seeking a Free Hand Precision Cutter to join our Production team in Fayetteville, GA. This position involves hands‑on craftsmanship and technical expertise to produce high‑quality polyurethane foam components. This role is critical to ensure the accuracy, quality, and reliability of foam components used in aircraft safety applications. The ideal candidate will have the ability to set up and operate manufacturing machinery, have strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and experience working with hand cutting tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform precision free hand cutting of polyurethane foam using cutting knives and other hand tools to ensure components are to exact specifications.
  • Operate wire cutting machinery with (Computer Numerical Control) applications to produce accurate foam components.
  • Read, interpret, and apply blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to cutting tasks.
  • Apply knowledge of geometric tolerances and dimensions to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to design requirements.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and efficient conditions.
  • Collaborate to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience using Cutting hand tools.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience operating Manufacturing machines
  • Ability to Measure, mark, and cut foam materials with accuracy and consistency
  • Ability to perform manual precision cutting using cutting knives, scissors, and similar tools.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Excellent handeye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Strong finger dexterity with the ability to manipulate foam placement for precision hand cutting.
