Position Overview

NextGen Coating and Roofing Systems is seeking an experienced Spray Foam Roof Applicator to join our growing team. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a skilled roofing professional with hands-on experience applying Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) roofing systems and protective roof coatings on commercial and residential projects.

The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, follows safety protocols, works efficiently in a team environment, and has the technical knowledge to complete projects according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.


Competitive Pay Based on Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) roofing systems using plural-component spray equipment
  • Apply silicone, acrylic, elastomeric, and other roof coating systems
  • Perform roof preparation including pressure washing, priming, patching, masking, and moisture assessments
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot spray rigs and related equipment
  • Read and follow project specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and safety requirements
  • Ensure proper application thickness, coverage rates, and quality standards
  • Protect surrounding surfaces from overspray and maintain a clean work area
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, including fall protection requirements
  • Work effectively with crew members to complete projects on schedule
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company property in good working condition


Requirements

  • 3โ€“5 years of verifiable experience applying Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) roofing systems
  • Experience applying roof coatings such as silicone, acrylic, or elastomeric systems
  • Experience operating plural-component spray equipment (Graco, Gusmer, or similar systems)
  • Knowledge of substrate preparation, priming, patching, and moisture detection procedures
  • Ability to read and follow roofing specifications and manufacturer application guidelines
  • Comfortable working at heights on commercial and residential roofing projects
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including Arizona summer temperatures
  • Ability to wear PPE and respirators for extended periods


Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • Fall Protection Certification
  • SPFA (Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance) Certification
  • Experience leading or training crew members
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Own basic hand tools


Physical Requirements

  • Lift, carry, and move 50+ pounds regularly
  • Climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces
  • Stand, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments throughout the day
  • Work safely around roofing equipment, spray systems, and construction materials
