POLYWOOD is looking for a hands-on Metal Fabrication CAD/CAM Engineer to support the design, programming, and fabrication of the metal components used across our premium outdoor furniture line. This role blends CAD, CAM, CNC programming, and on-floor problem solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do: 

Create and update 3D CAD models for metal parts and assemblies.
Generate CAM programs and CNC code for laser cutting, bending, machining, and welding operations.
Run trial pieces to validate programs and ensure accuracy and safety.
Prepare fabrication drawings with weld symbols, material specs, and tolerances.
Support Engineering Change Requests and drive improvements in manufacturability and efficiency.
Troubleshoot tooling, fixturing, and programming issues with Fabrication and Welding teams.
Train and support production team members on setups and equipment expectations.

What You Bring: 

3 to 5 years of experience programming and setting up CNC equipment for metal fabrication.
Proficiency with Mastercam or similar CAM software.
Strong skills in SolidWorks or comparable CAD tools.
Knowledge of sheet metal design, weld processes, bend allowances, and GD&T.
Ability to read, create, and interpret fabrication drawings.
Hands-on experience with measuring tools and fabrication math.
Clear communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organization.

Experience with Haas, Fanuc, laser cutters, press brakes, or automated welding systems.
