Job Description

The Department of Finance in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice, dependent on qualifications and experience, to teach in the financial planning and finance curriculum. The academic-year position is available beginning Fall 2026 at the Blacksburg campus.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's or Master's degree or higher in finance, financial planning, business or related field. In addition, candidates must have significant professional and/or teaching experience. The candidate must be a CFP professional. Candidates must have the expertise or experience to teach courses in both the financial planning and finance curriculum.

Preferred Qualifications

CFA, CPA, ChFC, CLU, or other appropriate designations are also valued.

Additional Information
