Description
Partners for HOME seeks a paid Communications Intern to support content creation, digital communications, and storytelling efforts.
This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, public affairs, digital marketing, and community engagement. The intern will contribute to projects that highlight efforts to address homelessness in Atlanta while gaining exposure to communications strategy, media relations, content development, and campaign execution.
The ideal candidate is curious, creative, detail-oriented, and interested in using communications to advance social impact.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
  • Draft social media content and captions.
  • Assist with newsletter development and email content preparation.
  • Support creation of graphics using Canva.
  • Research and gather content for storytelling initiatives.

Digital Communications
  • Assist with website updates.
  • Schedule social media content.
  • Monitor engagement across digital platforms.
  • Support maintenance of content calendars.

Event & Community Engagement Support
  • Assist with communications support for meetings, trainings, and community events.
  • Capture photos and video at events.
  • Help develop event recap content and digital assets.
  • Support outreach and stakeholder engagement activities.

Communications Operations
  • Organize photos, videos, and communications assets.
  • Draft alt text and accessibility content.
