Full-Time W2 | Remote (U.S.) | $50,000-65,000 + Benefits

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Implementation Specialist to help build and scale our AP service line. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational puzzles, improving systems, and creating efficient workflows.

You'll lead AP onboarding and implementation for new clients by configuring systems, designing workflows, troubleshooting integrations, documenting procedures, and ensuring smooth transitions to ongoing operations teams.

This is a foundational role with significant growth potential as the department expands.

What You'll DoAP Workflow Design & Implementation
  • Build and document scalable, repeatable AP workflows for client accounts
  • Create standardized procedures to ensure consistency across engagements
  • Configure and test AP systems, automations, and integrations
  • Identify workflow gaps and recommend process improvements
Client Onboarding & Systems Setup
  • Lead AP setup for new client engagements
  • Configure platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Bill.com, and Ramp
  • Map charts of accounts and validate data flow accuracy
  • Run initial AP cycles to test workflows before handoff to operations teams
  • Create training documentation and support smooth client transitions
Troubleshooting & Process Improvement
  • Resolve sync issues and workflow errors across multiple systems
  • Improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of AP operations
  • Research and recommend new technology solutions and best practices
Growth & Leadership
  • Help establish best practices for a growing department
  • Operate independently while collaborating cross-functionally
  • Contribute to the future development of the AP service line
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping, AP, or accounting experience supporting small businesses and/or nonprofits
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts or workflows simultaneously
  • Hands-on experience with some or most of the following:
    • QuickBooks Online
    • Xero
    • Bill.com
    • Ramp
  • Strong process orientation and attention to detail
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems and think critically about workflows
  • Comfort learning and implementing new software platforms
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
