What is a police support?

Police Support staff are civilian employees who assist police officers by performing a variety of administrative and operational tasks. Their duties can include managing records, handling emergency calls, providing technical support, and assisting with investigations. They help ensure that police officers can focus on frontline law enforcement duties by taking care of important background and logistical work. Police Support roles are crucial to the smooth running of police departments and can include positions such as dispatchers, crime analysts, and evidence technicians.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a police support officer?

To thrive as a Police Support Officer, you typically need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a good standard of education, often with qualifications in administration or public services.
