What is a police supervisor?

Police supervisors are law enforcement professionals who oversee the activities and performance of police officers and other personnel within a department or unit. They are responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, providing guidance and training, and handling administrative tasks. Police supervisors also play a key role in evaluating staff, addressing disciplinary issues, and coordinating responses to incidents or emergencies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a police supervisor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Police Supervisor, you need extensive law enforcement experience, supervisory training, and often a degree in criminal justice or a related field.
