Police Officer

The City of Lodi, WI is seeking a team-oriented candidate to join the Lodi Police Department. This is a part-time, non-exempt position without benefits. The authorized wage range is $29.07 - $36.95 per hour (commensurate with experience and qualifications).

The City of Lodi Police Department is a full-service police organization that provides safety and enforcement services to more than 3,000 city residents.

Tools and equipment used by the Police Officer includes but is not limited to police vehicle, radios and related communication equipment, radar gun, computers, firearms, conducted energy weapons, intoxilyzer, Preliminary Breath Test (PBT), Oleoresin Capsicum (OC), and cameras. Proficient in Microsoft programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, and other city and police specific programs.

The performance of tasks may involve physical risk to safety and health of police officers operating under emergency conditions increased stress levels, and may require the use of firearms. Work maybe performed out of doors and in inclement weather. Work schedules may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime work hours.

Reports To: Police Sergeant Supervision Exercised: None

Selection procedure may consist of any or all of the following: Initial interview, background investigation, Police Commission interview, psychological evaluation, and physical examination with alcohol/drug screening. Other procedures may be included as necessary. This position is appointed by the Chief of Police subject to approval by the Police Commission. The position description does not constitute an employment agreement between the employer and employee and is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and the requirements of the job change.
