Summary
  • Chenega Naswik International, LLC is seeking a professional and dependable Armed Security Guard to provide security services in support of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility. This position is responsible for protecting personnel, facilities, property, and assets through access control operations, security patrols, inspections, and enforcement of established security procedures. 

  • The ideal candidate is a disciplined security professional with strong observational skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to public safety. This role offers the opportunity to support critical government operations while contributing to the protection of federal personnel, resources, and infrastructure. 

 

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively via radio, telephone, and in-person interactions. 

  • Provide professional interaction and escort services for government personnel, visitors, contractors, and the public. 

  • Perform access control and traffic control functions in accordance with established procedures. 

  • Conduct walking and motorized patrols to identify security concerns and unauthorized activities. 

  • Enforce applicable security regulations, post orders, and standard operating procedures. 

  • Protect government personnel, facilities, equipment, property, and resources. 

  • Conduct personnel, vehicle, building, and facility inspections. 

  • Perform package and parcel inspections as required. 

  • Monitor assigned areas for suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security risks. 

  • Complete reports, logs, and required documentation accurately and timely. 

  • Support emergency response and incident management activities. 

  • Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 

  • Possess and maintain Armed Security Guard certification through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS). 

  • Possess an active Secret Clearance. 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 

  • Certified in the use of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Spray. 

  • Certified in the use of batons. 

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with a civilian police agency, military police organization, security force, or related security organization. 

  • Possess and maintain current CPR certification through the American Red Cross or equivalent approved provider. 

  • Must successfully meet Physical Agility Test (PAT) standards as required by the customer, including:  

  • 1.5 mile run completed within 17 minutes and 30 seconds. 

  • 19 push-ups completed within two minutes. 

  • Must successfully complete and pass the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI). 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Management, or a related field. 

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal government security operations. 

  • Military police, armed security, or law enforcement experience. 

  • Experience working in controlled-access or high-security environments. 

  • Additional certifications in First Aid, emergency response, or security operations. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Knowledge of physical security operations, access control procedures, and force protection principles. 

  • Strong observation, communication, and decision-making skills. 

  • Ability to prepare accurate reports and maintain require documentation.

  • Ability to follow post orders, standard operating procedures, and government regulations.

  • Ability to interact professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Ability to operate computers, radios, vehicles, and standard office equipment.

  • Ability to identify and respond appropriately to security concerns and emergencies. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
