    About the role:

    We are currently seeking a Security Supervisor to lead and coordinate the Security Guard team at Cote Gold, ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, responsible, and effective security services across the site. This includes overseeing daily operations such as access control, patrols, and incident detection, while ensuring security practices effectively deter, observe, and report risks in alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.


    This role will provide strong leadership by supporting, coaching, and developing Security Guards to perform at a high standard. Foster a positive, accountable team environment by offering clear direction, enabling training and development opportunities, and removing barriers to success, while promoting continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.
     

    Responsibilities:

        Lead and coordinate security operations by overseeing Security Guard resources and ensuring the effective delivery of security services across Cote Gold.
        Champion safety and compliance by adhering to and promoting all safety, environmental, and security procedures, and leading inspections, observations, and incident investigations.
        Supervise and develop the team by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and supporting ongoing training aligned to current and future needs.
        Drive performance and accountability by conducting performance reviews, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring alignment with security targets and business plans.
        Enable team effectiveness by ensuring the right resources (people, equipment, and tools) are in place and creating an inclusive environment where employees can succeed.
        Collaborate across operations by working closely with site teams and stakeholders to coordinate activities, share information, and support reliable operations.
        Promote operational excellence by identifying inefficiencies, implementing improvements, and applying a proactive, solution-focused approach to security services.
        Ensure accurate communication and documentation by maintaining clear records, communicating deficiencies, and ensuring alignment with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

    Key Skills & Knowledge:

    Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in police foundations, law and security or a related program.
    Certified Protection Officer or other similar designation is considered an asset.

     Relevant Experience:

    5 or more years' experience in security, police or public safety related role.
    2 or more years supervisory experience leading a team of security professionals.
    Mining, specifically gold mining experience is considered an asset.
