Position Tasks:


a. Answering questions and giving directions regarding, and not limited to: events, campus services, programs, account management, lockers, and lost and found items.


b. Manage money daily and responsible for accurate count of register drawer.


c. Training includes but is not limited to: proficient and competent in hazard & bodily fluid clean up procedures, mandatory reporting, general fire and emergency protocol.


d. Interact and communicate effectively with students, staff, faculty, customers and the public via telephone, email and in person on a daily basis by answering their questions, listening to their concerns, and making appropriate referrals.


e. Keep brochure racks up to date and organized so that resources are available for guests and be able to find easily.


f. Ability to use a Point of Sale device for purchases of tickets, dining plans, and account management, along with production of university identification cards in TruCredentials.


g. Ability to locate information and resources from the university website for guest inquiries.


h. Attendance at unit and campus trainings for both develop professional and personal skill development.

Key Job Responsibilities:Department:Student CenterCompensation:$11 per hour.Required Qualifications:
  • Must possess skills for MS Excel and Word.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50 and have 6 non-audit credits.
  • Be available to work 6-12 hours per week. Flexible hours and willingness to help with timely deadlines.
  • Gave excellent customer service and telephone skills.
  • Possess good problem-solving skills and be able to determine priorities.
  • Positive attitude is a must along with willingness to learn, take responsibility and taking initiative.
  • Adhere to Student Employee Handbook uniform dress policy and attend mandatory trainings.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cashing handling experience preferred and the ability to grasp technology and use effectively.
