Job description

This position is for the full academic year. THIS POSITION IS FOR UPPERCLASSMEN ONLY. FRESHMEN ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR DEPARTMENT POSITIONS.
Expected hours of work per week: 5-10
Expected location and times where work will be performed: Brock Hall 223 / 8-4:30
Qualifications for Position:
  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing
  • International Studies or Political Science major
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Adequate knowledge of research methods
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong personal integrity and work ethic
  • Interest in a research-related career preferred
  • Strong language skills preferred

Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
  • General course assistance across POL & INS courses
  • Research assistance for professors
  • Departmental administrative/clerical tasks
  • Organization of events for POL & INS majors & minors
  • Tutoring as needed
