Field Manager

Location: Post Falls, Idaho

Position Type: Field Manager

Schedule: Monday- Friday (occasional weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

  • This Position is an entry level position for leadership. We are looking for someone who is motivated and works well with others well. Is able to coach each tech and build relationships based on trust, respect and understanding.
  • Support Service Manager in day-to-day operations.
  • Fill in for absent Technicians by servicing customer accounts. Spend at least 75% of your time in the field evaluating Technician service quality or performing service when demand exceeds available resources.
  • With guidance from Service Manager, achieve and maintain proficiency in all aspects of Service Manager duties to include:
    • Payroll Process and Understanding Production and Hourly Pay
    • Product Inventory and Maintenance
    • Assist in Maintaining adequate staffing
  • Ensure that you and your team maintain a professional appearance, positive working relationships with co-workers and customers.
  • Promote an "All Star" technician team.
  • Guarantee Safety by using appropriate PPE, safety equipment and good judgement under all working conditions.
  • Maintain company fleet and ensure vehicles are always in safe and prime operational conditions, while keeping equipment and supply inventories to capacity. Field Manager is responsible for accurate, regular vehicle inspections as directed by the Service Manager.
  • Support Route Management to ensure that you and your team service customer accounts according to procedures and guidelines established by the company. Encourage technicians to take time with each customer to take every opportunity to establish recurring services, increase route retentions and addressing "at risk" customers. Review and coach documentation as per cadence directed by the Service Manager.
  • Promote and motivate your team to discover new opportunities through seeking referrals, producing new services to customers on the route by performing routine inspections, clover-leaf neighborhoods, and self-generated leads. Regularly coach technicians in the sale of services and how to overcome objections.
  • Ensure that you and your technicians stay up to date with training in all areas of Pest Control from biology, habits, structural, specialty pests and safety. Field Manager is responsible for technicians on your team completing all company assigned training.
  • Support technician development and encourage a learning, supportive atmosphere in recruiting new talent.
  • KPI (Key Performance Indicators) Ensure that you and your team are aware and maintain high scores for the established KPI's and are growth focused. Correct and coach low performing KPIs with Technicians.
  • Must lead by good example in all categories. Work closely with your team to encourage and motivate your seasoned workers to the new technicians by promoting enthusiastic engagement with the company's vision of retention and growth. Recognize successes and opportunities with team on a regular basis.
  • Ability to translate the company's strategic objectives daily with enthusiasm to your team.
  • Support office staff and maintain a cooperative, positive message with your team.
  • Refer to Midwest Workflow for agreed upon daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities and KPIs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Motivated high performer!
  • Sales proficiency.
  • 1 or more years' customer service experience & supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Developing Communication skills effectively through verbal, written and in person.
  • Develop ability to interpret and understand P&L and how it affects operations of branch.
  • Licensed in appropriate pest control categories and states. 1-3 years experience in pest control preferred but not required.
  • Ability to develop Computer Skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
  • Valid Driver's license with good driving record.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Trained in General Pest, Commercial Pest, Termite Pest, Bed Bug Service is preferred.
  • Pass Background check, drug screening.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to perform physical aspects of the job (must be able to lift 50 lbs.).
