Admission Nurse RN or LPN

About the Role
As an Admission Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the clinical aspects of the resident admission process. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, and providing a welcoming and professional first impression to new residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive nursing assessments for all new admissions
  • Accurately enter resident information, orders, and care needs into PointClickCare (PCC) or other EHR systems
  • Review and reconcile hospital records, medication orders, diagnoses, and treatment plans
  • Initiate care plans, medication administration records, and other required documentation
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure a coordinated admission process
  • Educate residents and families on care plans, services, and facility expectations
  • Monitor admission metrics and participate in quality improvement initiatives related to admissions
Qualifications
  • Current RN or LPN license in Florida
  • 1+ year experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of skilled nursing facility regulations and standards
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) or similar EHR systems (preferred)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
