Job description

Registered / Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) - Cherrelyn Healthcare Center | Littleton, CO
Full-Time | $35-$38/hr DOE | Rotating Weekends Required
What You're Walking Into
Cherrelyn Healthcare Center is a 176-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Littleton, CO, part of Stellar Senior Living, and has been in operation for over 50 years. We're hiring an RRT or CRT to join our clinical team and deliver direct respiratory care to a skilled nursing and rehab population.
This is a structured, full-time role with consistent hours, a stable IDT, and a patient population that genuinely benefits from strong respiratory oversight. If you're coming from a high-volume acute care setting and want greater resident continuity and a sustainable pace, this is worth a look.
The Role
You'll manage a daily caseload of assigned residents, performing assessments, treatments, and documentation as the respiratory therapy lead on the floor. You'll work closely with nursing and the broader IDT, and report changes in respiratory status directly to the Directors of Nursing and Respiratory Care.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
  • Review resident assignments each shift - vitals, current treatments, symptoms, and recent changes
  • Conduct focused resident interviews and physical assessments of pulmonary status
  • Perform lung capacity evaluations, blood gas analysis (O2/CO2), and other respiratory diagnostics as needed
  • Execute and adjust treatment plans in line with care plan priorities and physician orders
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and communications in Point Click Care (PCC)
  • Communicate respiratory status changes to nursing leadership and physicians in real time
  • Coordinate care with the IDT - nursing, therapy, social services, and dietary
  • Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and emergency safety protocols
Schedule & Pay
  • $35-$38/hr , commensurate with experience
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week
  • 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week
  • 7-day coverage needed - rotating weekends are part of this role
What We Offer
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance (full-time)
  • Paid Time Off + holidays
  • 401(k) with match (service-based vesting)
  • Tuition reimbursement and continuing education
  • Voluntary benefit options
  • Stable, long-tenured facility with a collaborative clinical culture
Requirements
  • Active CRT or RRT credential - Colorado-authorized, unencumbered
  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Minimum 1 year of respiratory experience in a skilled nursing or acute care setting
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
  • Working knowledge of Point Click Care (PCC) - required, not a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to function effectively in an IDT model
  • Complete the screening questions as part of your application
