Medical Assistant – Cross Trained in Patient Coordination

**Gotham Footcare – New York, NY**

Gotham Footcare is a modern podiatry and surgical practice with locations in Midtown and Downtown Manhattan, specializing in advanced foot and ankle care, minimally invasive procedures, sports medicine, aesthetics, and patient-focused care.

We are seeking a polished, dependable, and team-oriented **Medical Assistant** to join our growing practice full-time. This role is primarily clinical but includes cross-training in front desk patient coordination to support a collaborative and efficient office environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both patient care and patient interaction in a fast-paced, high-end medical setting.


Schedule

* Full-time

* Monday through Friday

* 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM


Primary Responsibilities

Clinical / Medical Assistant Duties

* Room and prepare patients for providers

* Obtain medical histories and vitals

* Assist physicians with procedures and treatments

* Prepare and clean treatment rooms

* Sterilize and organize instruments

* Assist with dressings, injections, post-op care, and procedures

* Stock rooms and maintain clinical flow

* Upload/document photos and assist with EMR workflow

Patient Coordination / Front Desk Support

(Cross-trained support role primarily during late afternoon/evening coverage)

* Schedule appointments

* Check patients in and out

* Collect copays and balances

* Assist with patient flow and provider scheduling

* Provide professional and welcoming patient interaction

* Support smooth office closing workflow


Qualifications

* Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred

* Podiatry, orthopedic, dermatology, surgical, or aesthetic experience is a plus

* Strong communication and organizational skills

* Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment

* Professional appearance and demeanor

* Computer and EMR proficiency required

* Ability to work collaboratively with both clinical and administrative teams

* Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
