Job Summary and Responsibilities

Dignity Health Medical Group - Arizona is actively seeking highly patient-centric physicians to join the Department of Family Medicine as Core Faculty for the rural/underserved track for Creighton University East Valley Arizona Family Medicine Residency Program in Maricopa, Arizona.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Outpatient + Inpatient teaching service coverage and/or Family Medicine Obstetrics
  • Outpatient Mon-Fri days with dedicated non-clinical teaching time per ACGME requirements
  • Flexibility to work 4 longer days or 5 regular
  • Call is 1:4 or less (by telephone only with residents being first call)
  • Outpatient: 16 patient-facing hours, 16 precepting hours, 4 admin hours, 4 teaching hours per week
  • Inpatient: Every 4th week or less frequently, 1 week at a time x 7 days with compensation days provided (No outpatient duties during inpatient week or post-inpatient compensation days)
  • Avg 18-24 patients per day on outpatient days
  • Great MA support + RN onsite
  • Academic appointment at Creighton University School of Medicine, Phoenix–Open rank based on prior experience and academic output
  • Teaching Medical students, Physician Assistant Students, and other learners.
  • Opportunities to get involved in both sponsor and investigator initiated research projects

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • MD or DO Degree
  • BC/BE in Family Medicine
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited residency
  • A passion for teaching and providing clinically excellent care, prefer POCUS skills
