Tractor Trailer / Diesel Mechanic
Location: Beech Grove, IN
Pay: $23.00+ per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Full-Time Night Shift
Overview
Commercial Transport is seeking an experienced Tractor Trailer / Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team on the night shift. This position is responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of Class A tractors and food-grade pneumatic tank trailers.
Our fleet consists primarily of late-model Freightliner and Kenworth trucks maintained at our Beech Grove terminal. We are committed to providing stable, long-term employment and a supportive work environment for every team member.
Schedule Options
  • Monday-Friday: 3:30 PM - Midnight
  • Sunday-Thursday: 3:30 PM - Midnight

Shift selection must be established before the start date and will begin upon completion of training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) services on tractors and trailers
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems and air conditioning systems
  • Conduct computer diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and repair ABS systems
  • Service brakes, suspension systems, and other mechanical components
  • Mount and dismount tires
  • Perform general maintenance and repair on Class A tractors and trailers
  • Assist with engine diagnostics and repairs as needed

Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum of 2 years of tractor and/or trailer repair experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience
  • Must provide own tools
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred
  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
  • Experience as a:

  • Automotive Mechanic
  • Trailer Mechanic
