What does a pneumatic tanker driver do?

A pneumatic tanker transports materials that need to be protected from exposure to air and moisture, such as dry bulk, cement, sand, asphalt, or dry and liquid chemicals. Pneumatic tanker drivers have the certification to drive these vehicles and deliver them to their destination. In this role, you may need to load the tanker; materials are loaded and unloaded through pipes with compressed air to avoid contamination. You are responsible for transporting the materials safely to and from a job site. Many pneumatic tanker drivers work for a transportation company, but some are independent contracts that are hired directly by clients.

What is a pneumatic tanker driver?

Pneumatic tanker drivers are professional truck drivers who operate specialized trucks equipped with pneumatic tanks, which use air pressure to load, transport, and unload dry bulk materials such as cement, flour, sand, or plastic pellets. Their job involves safely operating the vehicle, ensuring proper loading and unloading, and adhering to safety regulations.
