Job description

We are looking for an experienced PMO specialist to lead integration planning and execution for an acquisition. This Long-term Contract position offers a hybrid schedule in Mid-town NYC and will focus on building structure, coordinating cross-functional workstreams, and driving visibility across milestones, risks, and dependencies. The ideal candidate brings prior mergers and acquisitions experience along with strong project governance capabilities to help keep integration activities organized, accountable, and moving forward.


Responsibilities:

• Direct integration planning activities by organizing priorities, defining milestones, and aligning project deliverables across business functions.

• Coordinate with finance, operations, and other internal stakeholders to manage workstreams and maintain progress against established timelines.

• Build and maintain project governance practices that improve accountability, decision-making, and status transparency throughout the integration effort.

• Track key risks, interdependencies, and open issues, and escalate concerns in a timely manner to support informed leadership decisions.

• Facilitate regular meetings, prepare updates, and communicate project status clearly to stakeholders across the organization.

• Support execution of acquisition-related initiatives by ensuring owners understand expectations and follow through on commitments.

• Monitor project plans and dashboards to identify slippage, recommend corrective actions, and keep strategic objectives on course.


• Proven experience supporting project management office functions within mergers and acquisitions or post-acquisition integration environments.

• Strong background in coordinating complex cross-functional programs with multiple timelines, stakeholders, and dependencies.

• Demonstrated ability to implement project governance, reporting structures, and tracking mechanisms that improve execution discipline.

• Experience working with finance and operations teams in large-scale integration or transformation initiatives.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive alignment across diverse teams.

• Availability to work onsite in New York, New York four days per week and begin work immediately.
