Job description

Job Summary: PMM Companies is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Floor Maintenance Technician / General Cleaner to join our company. The General Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness across our premises, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for employees, visitors, and guests. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, possesses strong attention to detail, and is committed to upholding our company's cleanliness standards. Prior experience operating commercial floor maintenance equipment (walk-behind scrubbers, burnishers, buffers)

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday/ Rotating weekends - 3:00PM - 11:30PM

Hourly Rate: $18.30

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming all areas of the facility.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
  • Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins regularly.
  • Wipe down and sanitize surfaces, such as desks, countertops, and door handles.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager.
  • Assist with setting up and cleaning up after events or meetings.
  • Follow established safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 to 50 pounds.
