What you will do:
The Exam Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless global delivery of PMI's Gold Standard professional certification examinations. This position is responsible for managing all operational aspects of exam delivery from candidate registration through post-exam processes, working closely with testing vendors, regional partners, and internal teams to maintain PMI's position as the world leader in certification excellence. The role directly supports PMI strategy by ensuring reliable, accessible, and secure exam experiences for certification candidates worldwide.
What you will bring to the role:
  • Bachelors in business, project management, or related area required or equivalent. MBA or master's degree strongly preferred.
  • PMP Certification desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manager role; experience in global organization beneficial.
  • Proficiency in the business language for PMI (English)
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-vendor operations with high reliability and quality standards
  • Strong process improvement skills with experience implementing operational efficiencies
  • Experience with incident management, crisis response, and business continuity planning
  • Demonstrated success in managing operational budgets and vendor relationships
  • Understanding of fundamental psychometric principles and certification exam development processes
  • Knowledge of global testing markets and regional variations in exam delivery requirements
  • Experience with professional certification or educational testing operations preferred
  • Familiarity with project management principles and PMI standards & Certifications
  • Travel required up to 20% of time for vendor meetings, vendor visits, and conference participation
  • International travel may be required for global operations oversight
  • Ability to respond to operational emergencies outside standard business hours
