Job description

Maintenance Tech                                                      

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a skilled Maintenance Tech, to complete troubleshooting and repair of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and robotic welding equipment. This position will support the manufacturing operations by performing preventative maintenance as well as emergency repairs as needed.  This is a Weekend Position; Friday - Sunday, 5:00am -  5:00pm.

What you will be doing: 

  • PM tech level 2 skills plus the following:
  • Replacement of bearings and bearing assemblies
  • Repair and replacement of mechanical assemblies
  • Repair and Rebuilding of equipment
  • Installation of gearboxes
  • Must complete work orders via CMMS software and maintenance utilization of 80%
  • Drive shaft rebuilding
  • Troubleshooting and repair of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Welding of damaged equipment and fabrication of equipment
  • Must adhere to all lock out tag out procedures

The skills and experience you need: 

Education:

  • Technical training and certification preferred

Experience:

  • PM tech level 2 experience plus the following:
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic assemblies.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic assemblies.
  • Experience troubleshooting bearings
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing basic electrical circuits
  • Must be able to operate CMMS software and fill out work orders

Other:

  • Must maintain punctual and reliable attendance
  • Must complete all tasks in a professional manner
  • Ability to operate specialized and basic hand tools.
  • Must be able to use bearing pullers, bearing heater, press.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to be a contributing and collaborative team member.
  • Must have own tools including sockets and wrenches up to 1" and 25mm.
