Duties & Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership โ€“ Supervise and lead field personnel including supervisors, plumbers, and apprentices. Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to ensure high-quality performance and accountability.
  • Project Management โ€“ Oversee plumbing projects from start to finish, including labor hours, job efficiency, and profitability.
  • ย Financial Awareness & Analysis โ€“ Review and interpret basic financial data, including departmental performance metrics and profit and loss (P&L) statements, to understand profitability and support informed decision-making.
  • ย Resource Management โ€“ Monitor and manage tools, equipment, and materials to ensure crews are properly equipped for each job.
  • ย Documentation โ€“ Create and maintain accurate documentation as required, including disciplinary records, and operational reports.
  • ย Quality Control โ€“ Ensure plumbing work is completed according to code, company standards, and customer expectations.
  • ย Compliance and Safety โ€“ Ensure job site safety, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Implement and enforce all safety policies and protocols.
  • ย Training and Development โ€“ Provide ongoing training related to technical skills, safety, processes, and procedures.
  • ย Continuous Improvement โ€“ Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall department performance.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Must be familiar with technology including Microsoft365 suite of applications.
  • Familiarity with Service Titan preferred.
  • Ability to coach and mentor personnel, lead them in the right direction, and demonstrate the Signature way.ย 
  • Comfortable presenting in front of groups and leading team meetings.ย 
  • Strong ability to build and cultivate relationships with vendors.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the field as a plumber.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift, lower, push, and pull objects of up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to continually stand, walk, climb, ascend/descend ladders, bend, stoop, crawl, and crouch, frequently in tight spaces, for extended periods of time, in indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Must be able to continually use hands/fingers to handle, feel, utilize tools, and operate machinery.

Work Environment & Conditions

  • Hybrid environment including office and field work which may include interior and exterior of customers' residential and commercial properties. May require exposure to weather conditions, dusts, and mists that may be present while working outdoors. Exposure to chemicals may occur. ย Use of personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety-footwear, goggles, gloves, shield, mask or respirator, and hardhats may be required.ย 
  • Must be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license and insurable driving history.ย 
  • Must pass background screen, drug test, and motor vehicle records check.

Work Schedule

  • Generally, Monday through Friday 7AM to 5PM, additional nights and weekends are periodically required as needed; must be generally available via phone during off hours
