Description:

Mesquite Plumbing is seeking an experiencedPlumbing Project Manager to oversee plumbing projects from initial planning through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of commercial and/or residential plumbing systems, project management experience, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage plumbing projects from contract award through final completion and closeout
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project requirements
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans
  • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, vendors, and clients
  • Review plumbing drawings and identify potential conflicts, changes, and constructability issues
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, material procurement, and project documentation
  • Monitor project costs, labor, materials, and overall profitability
  • Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress updates
  • Coordinate field crews, foremen, subcontractors, and other project personnel
  • Ensure materials and equipment are ordered and delivered according to the project schedule
  • Track project progress and resolve scheduling, technical, and operational issues
  • Review invoices, pay applications, purchase orders, and subcontractor billing
  • Assist with estimating, budgeting, and proposal preparation when required
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, applicable plumbing codes, and safety requirements
  • Manage project closeout, including inspections, punch lists, warranties, as-builts, and turnover documentation
  • Maintain strong customer and contractor relationships throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of plumbing project management experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, installation methods, materials, and applicable codes
  • Experience with commercial, residential, industrial, or multifamily plumbing projects
  • Ability to read and interpret plumbing plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and cost control
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Plumbing license or relevant trade certification is a plus

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with construction management software
  • Experience with estimating and takeoff software
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and jobsite safety requirements
  • Familiarity with BIM/coordination processes
  • Strong negotiation and subcontractor management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
