About Us

SOS Plumbing & Heating is a small, family-owned plumbing and heating company serving Rhode Island. We currently operate three trucks and are continuing to grow as we head into the heating season.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will perform plumbing and heating work in residential and light commercial settings, including but not limited to:

  • Assemble, install, alter, and repair piping systems for water, steam, air, gas, and heating applications
  • Install, service, and troubleshoot boilers, hydronic heating systems, and related mechanical controls
  • Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and applicable plumbing/mechanical codes
  • Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair piping systems and related equipment
  • Maintain accurate job records, notes, and documentation
  • Lead, train, and assist apprentices or helpers as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
  • Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and management
Requirements
  • Valid Rhode Island Journeyman Plumber, Pipefitter, or Master license required
  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred
  • Clean driving record; DMV/RMV check required
  • Background check required
  • Boiler and hydronic heating experience strongly preferred
  • Must be reliable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must be able to follow company procedures, job notes, and safety standards
