Job description

SUMMARY


Stewart Mechanical is looking to hire an experienced Plumbing and HVAC estimator with design-build knowledge and a commercial Plumbing and or HVAC background who will bid and win projects, experienced enough to estimate an accurate assessment of the project requirements while keeping the professional culture.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Review project specifications and drawings.
  • Generate accurate takeoffs using computer software estimating programs. Thorough knowledge of Plumbing and Pipefitting systems is required.
  • Manage bid invitations.
  • Prepare plumbing budgets.
  • Manage multiple bids at the same time.
  • Send out bid invitations to vendors and subcontractors. Review their bids for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assemble full estimate for review by chief estimator.
  • Write proposal letters.
  • Capable of offering value engineering ideas.


Education


  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Software certification for estimating


Qualifications


  • 5+ years of commercial plumbing estimating experience.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
