Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Mechanical Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for mounting and integrating new tow truck bodies onto raw, newly manufactured truck chassis. If you have strong mechanical aptitude, take pride in your craftsmanship, and want to build high-quality commercial vehicles from the ground up, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chassis Integration: Mount, align, and securely install new tow truck and recovery bodies onto brand-new truck chassis according to manufacturer specifications.
  • System Assembly & Plumbing: Install and route critical auxiliary systems, including hydraulic pumps, hoses, cylinders, and basic 12V electrical wiring/lighting.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform thorough post-installation inspections and testing to ensure all mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components operate safely and smoothly.
  • Documentation & Safety: Read and interpret blue prints, installation manuals, and schematics while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Mechanical Aptitude: Strong hands-on mechanical experience, including proficiency with hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and shop equipment.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for precision, ensuring all alignments are exact, fasteners are properly torqued, and routing is clean and professional.
  • Technical Problem-Solving: Ability to read technical drawings, installation guides, and electrical/hydraulic schematics to troubleshoot installation challenges.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy components, stand for long periods, and work in various physical positions (bending, kneeling, reaching) required for vehicle assembly.

Company Description
