Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Plumbing Designer in Riverside! As part of our team, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including: Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401k, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance.

General Responsibility:

The duties of the Senior Plumbing Designer is to design plumbing systems using CAD and Revit. Provide technical support to various departments regarding design work. Assist with the creation of Plumbing designs, including system narratives, drawings and specifications for a variety of project types and sizes.

Significant Duties:

  • Review plans and set up Rivet/CAD files provided by the architect
  • Design plumbing systems based on architectural drawings and material specifications
  • Generate isometric and lay in drawings for fabrication and field use
  • Prepare 3D Revit detail drawings, schedules and isometrics for plan/spec and design build projects
  • Review project submittals for space limitations, and constructability
  • Develop MR (Material Requisitions) and perform take-off on all drawings
  • Provide technical support for fabrication and field operations
  • Provide technical support and coordination to the project managers and field foremen
  • Collaborate with field operations supervisors to make design changes
  • Record changes and process adjustments based on such
  • Perform additional assignments per Manager's direction
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Company design and drafting standards
  • Follow all safety procedures on the jobsite
  • Travel to different jobsites as directed by management
  • Performs within the values and guidelines of 20/20 and adheres to the 20/20 Policies and Procedures
  • Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes
  • Other duties or projects assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A California Drivers' License, with a clean DMV record is necessary
  • Experience and extensive knowledge in the Plumbing field.
  • Extensive knowledge with generating AutoCAD, plumbing codes, plan reading and PHCC, and field experience.
  • 10 – 15 years’ experience and extensive knowledge in Plumbing Designing
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Physical requirements:

The position of a Senior Plumbing Designer requires that you are able to lift objects that weigh up to 15 pounds. Exposed to occasional work in outdoor weather conditions. Occasional driving to jobsites may be necessary, and the ability to walk on uneven unclean terrain for several hours.
