We are looking to hire truly “Remarkable and Outstanding” Plumbers to work for an Extraordinary Plumbing Company. If you fit this description you could qualify for a Sign on Bonus or relocation assistance.

Benjamin Franklin “The Punctual Plumber” was founded over 20 years ago on the principle of punctuality. The original meaning of punctual described a puncture made by a surgeon. The word has meant a lot of other things through the centuries, usually involving being precise about small points. Being punctual and being extraordinary have a lot in common in that they both require attention to detail and self-discipline. If you are a licensed plumber with at least 5 years’ experience and possess both these traits, then you might be the “Plumber Extraordinaire” we are looking for.

The Position: We’re looking for residential repair plumbers with at least a Texas Tradesman Plumbing License and 5 years’ experience.

  • The pay is hourly with overtime for anything over 40 hours. We also pay spiffs for addon sales and monthly profit sharing of up to 6% of gross sales based on individual performance. Average annual wages exceed $100k. (We pay hourly for 2 reasons. One, we want our plumbers to have a stable and dependable income they can count on regardless of the ups and downs in today’s economy. Two, we don’t want our customers exposed to the high-pressure sales tactics that come with a commission-based pay system.
  • The hours are 7:30 am to end of the last call Monday through Friday with every fifth week/weekend on call and every fifth Saturday as the backup plumber. On-call starts on Friday and runs until the following Thursday at midnight. If the plumber fulfills the on-call obligation, they get the Friday immediately after there on call ends off with pay.
  • We also offer up to 4 weeks PTO per year, Major Medical, Dental and Vision insurance.
  • Plumbers that live within a reasonable distance are allowed to take the company trucks home and drive the toll roads when appropriate.
  • Company provided uniforms, jackets, caps, and gloves.
Requirements:
  • Must have a good driving record and a valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Must have a Texas Tradesman’s of Journeyman’s plumbing license.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes Straight Forward Pricing (including all company approved forms) correctly on each call
  • Wear floor savers while in the client’s home and maintains a neat work area while performing a repair or scheduled service.
  • Tests each aspect of the job before leaving a home to make sure everything is working properly. Ensures the job was indeed completed correctly and eliminates unnecessary callbacks after the job is finished.
  • Explain each service performed to the client each time a maintenance or repair is completed. Ensure clients are 100% satisfied with all work
  • Convey a safety-conscious attitude, both on the job and while driving
  • Always maintain cleanliness inside and outside of vehicles.

Why Should You Apply?

  • Top industry pay.
  • Company paid major medical, dental, vison and life insurance.
  • Paid sick leave and paid vacations.
  • 6 Paid holidays a year
  • Fully stocked truck with gas card and toll tag.
  • Limited after hours calls. We only book true emergencies after 6 PM.
  • Room for advancement. We have plenty of room in upper management for those that want to advance.
  • Local and national training, on line and in person.
  • Stability. We have been in business in Austin TX since 1985 and became the 1st ever Benjamin Franklin plumbing Franchise in 2001.
  • National franchise with multiple locations across the country makes transferring to another location easy, should you have to relocate.
