Their duties typically include carrying tools, preparing materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting with tasks such as measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes. They help ensure jobs move efficiently and provide hands-on support for more complex plumbing tasks. This role is a common starting point for individuals interested in becoming licensed plumbers themselves.

To thrive as a Plumbers Assistant, you need a basic understanding of plumbing systems, manual dexterity, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with hand and power tools, pipe fittings, and safety equipment is typically required, though formal certifications are less common at this entry level.
