Position Summary:
As a Plumbing Superintendent at Airo Mechanical, you will be a key leader in our plumbing division, responsible for overseeing and coordinating plumbing projects from start to finish. Your expertise and leadership will ensure the successful execution of plumbing installations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of plumbing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety compliance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of plumbing technicians and subcontractors, providing guidance and ensuring that work is performed efficiently and up to code.
  • Coordinate the procurement and delivery of plumbing materials and equipment, ensuring timely availability at the job site.
  • Interpret and review project blueprints and specifications, ensuring accurate implementation of plumbing systems.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety protocols and ensure that all team members adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Foster positive client relationships by providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Proactively identify and address project challenges, proposing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Utilize email and technology systems for project documentation, communication, and management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Plumbing Superintendent in multi-family, commercial or industrial plumbing projects.
  • Experience with email and project management software for effective communication and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing project requirements.

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in plumbing, business management, or related field is preferred.
  • Plumbing license preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to use technology systems for communication and project management.
  • Frequently remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
