Description
This position assists in the maintenance of city parks and recreation facilities.
Job Domains
  • Assists in the maintenance of city parks, athletic fields, and related facilities; mows grass and cuts weeds; assists in preparing athletic fields for play.

  • Installs and maintains landscaping; applies mulch; plants flowers and other plants.

  • Assists in the installation and repair of irrigation systems.

  • Removes litter and debris from playgrounds, parking lots, pavilions, and other park facilities; empties trash receptacles.

  • Assists in preparing for tournaments, special events, and programs.

  • Trims, removes and provides care for trees, bushes and ornamental plants.

  • Assists in the repair and maintenance of tools and equipment.

  • Assists with minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.

  • Operates a variety of grounds maintenance equipment, including hand and power tools.
