Donovan Air, Electric, and Plumbing is currently seeking residential Service Plumbers to join our team comprised of creative and energetic employees, who are dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience every day. Our plumbers manage the completion of various plumbing tasks, service upgrades, and collecting payment while providing exceptional customer service at ALL times by treating customers with the utmost respect and attention. This position will provide general plumbing repair and services with an emphasis on quality of work, performed efficiently and following all applicable local and national codes.

This is an hourly plus commission opportunity.
Responsibilities
What Will I do?
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose common and diverse plumbing problems accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform repairs consistent with and exceeding code standards.
  • Water heater repair and replacement.
  • Fixture replacement (to include faucets, tubs, showers, and toilets).
  • Drain cleaning.
  • Competent use of conventional sewer machines.
  • Increase customer loyalty by maintaining a clean working area.
  • Educate and offer the customer appropriate upgrades that you can complete immediately or at scheduled time.
  • Engage in conversation with the homeowner to uncover any concern or interests regarding their AC, plumbing or electrical systems.
  • Understand company pricing program and generate appropriate customer invoices and other paperwork at the job site and electronically process credit card payments.
  • Accurately estimate and invoice repairs and projects.
  • Document work completed with before and after photos.
  • Effectively communicate with all internal and external customers.
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle.
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer.
  • Demonstrate Safe working practices and methods.
  • Participate in company-provided training opportunities on customer service and the latest industry technologies.
  • Work with apprentices to coach and mentor.

Qualifications
Do I have What it Takes?
The following is REQUIRED for consideration:
  • A minimum of 4 years residential plumbing service & repair experience in all aspects of the plumbing system.
  • Strong residential service experience and strong trouble shooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of city codes.
  • Leak Location and Repair knowledge.
  • Integrity and the ability to promote a positive company image.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks on a daily basis.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Results driven in a high-energy environment.
  • Detail oriented with good time management skills.
  • Can lift, carry, and maneuver a minimum of 75 pounds without additional manpower or appropriate device.
  • Must be able to work in the outside elements of heat and cold safely and on ladders and/or roofs medium to high heights.
  • Maintain well-groomed appearance and keep a clean uniform and work shoes.
  • Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
  • Ability to crawl in tight places and climb ladders; work in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and on roofs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations.
