The (USA) Technician, General Facilities Maintenance, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, conducting repairs across multiple trades, managing work orders, and coordinating with contractors while adhering to regulatory standards. The technician supports continuous improvement efforts by applying expertise to maintenance processes, ensuring compliance with company policies, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment that aligns with organizational goals and customer needs.

What you'll do:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Inspect, clean, and repair facilities equipment, documenting wear and recommending repairs or replacements.
  • Conduct major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Diagnose issues through inspection, testing, and use of blueprints and repair manuals.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Order parts, track expenses, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and document all activities.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and facility repair to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and repairs, utilizing hand and power tools effectively.
  • Ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair various facility equipment including plumbing, carpentry, and material handling systems.
  • Skilled in interpreting blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor coordination.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and applying best practices in maintenance operations.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $42.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
