An established and growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Plumbing Project Manager / Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) to join its MEP team in Austin, Texas. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned plumbing engineer who wants to lead complex projects, build client relationships, mentor staff, and advance toward future leadership opportunities, including potential progression into a Principal role.


What You'll Do

As the Plumbing Project Manager, you will serve as the engineering lead and primary client contact for plumbing design projects while coordinating multidisciplinary MEP efforts from concept through construction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead plumbing engineering design, analysis, and system calculations for a variety of building projects.
  • Develop plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Perform engineering studies, evaluations, and cost analyses.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits and construction administration activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable plumbing codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Participate in business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.
  • Mentor engineers and designers and potentially supervise staff based on experience.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Minimum 10 years of plumbing engineering experience.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, building codes, and construction administration.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.


Preferred

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary MEP projects.
  • Business development and client acquisition experience.
  • Team leadership and mentoring experience.
