Job Overview: Mill and Plug Detailing Technician

The Mill and Plug Detailing Technician plays a critical role in the production and finishing of high-quality composite plugs and molds. This position is responsible for performing hands-on fabrication tasks including fiberglass application, sanding, and surface preparation to ensure parts meet strict quality standards.


Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this role requires attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to follow technical instructions. The technician collaborates closely with team members and leadership to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running a lamination chop gun
  • Applying spray putty to the plugs
  • Rolling fiberglass once it has been applied
  • Block sanding plugs (dry and wet sand)
  • Using various hand tools as needed
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Inspects all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards
  • Work in a team environment
  • Must be flexible and willing to cross train within the department.
