Job Description for Lead Data Analyst Contractor Position – Client's Project 
GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the specific direction of a senior analyst, supervisor or manager; In this role, you will support the work stream lead in leading a team of analysts, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and collect, process, map, and analyze data to support the loading of accurate data for PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system implementation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to determine how data will be transformed from the current PLM system to the new PLM system and verify and validate the data loads for accuracy to ensure annsuccessful implementation of the PLM. In this role you will be involved with data clean-up in the PLM of data objects and the correction and maintenance of attributes and other information; you will partner with business users to implement data updates in accordance with existing business processes where applicable. You will review systems requirements and business processes, codes, tests, debugs and implement software solutions for the PLM system. You will be expected to operate in a role that requires the use of judgment in applying expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with leadership skills and a business-oriented mindset.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Project Lead/Work Stream Lead for Bills of Material, Parts and associated documentation
  • Support the Work Stream Lead on communication and coordination with the data analysts
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Apply statistical methods and predictive analytics where appropriate
  • Utilize tools such as SQL, Python/R, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for analysis and visualization
  • Partner with cross-functional teams
  • Act as a support to the work stream lead, guiding stakeholders on data interpretation and decision-making
  • Present insights and recommendations to the work stream lead
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and business objectives
  • Complete validation and verification of data for multiple loads of data into the PLM system.
  • Support and complete data clean-up by submitting requirements and collaborating with IT for PLM and ERP data clean-up and maintenance following the IT process for mass updates of data.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights
  • Analyze, define, and develop documentation control methodologies to support the PLM system
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems
