Job description

PLCs Plus International Inc. is seeking a SCADA Developer/ PLC Programmer for the development of SCADA applications and PLC coding. This will include Control Room Human Machine Interface (HMI), Operator Interface Terminal (OIT), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), SCADA Historians, Databases, and Remote Alarm Systems. Refer to Desired Skills section for details.

Job Requirements

  • PLC Programmer/SCADA Developer Required Skills and Experience
  • Iconics Experience

  • OIT application development for Rockwell utilizing FactoryTalkViewME

  • Completes Red lines and B check sheets as required

Required Minimum Qualifications (Techs):

  • High School Diploma, or Equivalent
  • Valid Drivers License with clean driving record
  • Five (5) years experience as FCO/Commissioning Technician in oilfield, preferred

Required Education, Training and Certificates:

  • H2S, or ability to obtain upon hire


Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability and willingness to receive and follow direction
  • Ability to clearly communicate, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work safely, and recognize potential hazards
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies such as high voltage systems, electrical fires, loose hot wires, broken power lines, etc. This position will be working with 50 volts or less. No high voltage repair or firefighting is within job responsibilities
  • Ability to diagnose system malfunction, locate cause of breakdown and correct the problem or recommend solution
  • Ability to set and balance priorities in order to complete projects on time
  • Ability to make decisions and recommend appropriate course of action in difficult situations
  • Ability to handle stress and possess positive trait even in difficult or challenging situations

Automation / Commissioning Technician Specific Skillsets:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of control systems, equipment, operational and mechanical systems including; installation, testing, maintenance, and repair
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Working knowledge of AC and DC control circuits
