Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our National Internal Traveler House Supervisor RN-Care Base, you will compassionately coordinate care for individuals and families with a holistic approach, guiding and supporting care setting teams both in person and virtually, to ensure seamless patient care and Care Base operations.
Every day you will collaborate with regional and national healthcare teams, effectively and efficiently communicating with all levels of staff and leadership to provide appropriate care, education, and support. Your role directly supports enhancing patient experience, promoting patient safety, improving risk reductions, and maintaining financial health across all Care Base programs.
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly skilled Registered Nurse with strong leadership, communication, and collaborative abilities, capable of adapting to diverse care settings and virtual environments, and dedicated to upholding CommonSpirit Health's mission of safe, compassionate, and excellent patient care.

  • Ability to function in the roles of percentage of time in each role will depend on the area of need each shift:
    • 45% Care Base Staffing
    •  10% Cardio-Pulmonary Technician
    • 10% Virtual Companion
    • 10% Connection Specialist
    • 10% Patient Logistics Sr. PLC/After Hours Triage
    • 10% Patient Logistics RN/LVN
    •  5% Virtual Registered Nurse (vRN)
  • Function as a shift supervisor and resource for all staff at Care Base across all departments.
  • Serve as a clinical resource person in delivering and supervising direct and indirect care processes.
  • Provide compassionate leadership and direction for all Care Base operations, downtime procedures, and emergency management.
  • While on duty, serve as the primary point of contact for all staff, providing coaching, conflict resolution, and support to all Care Base team members.
  • Act as a representative for department and hospital executives when they are not present, reporting concerns and events to the designated administrator on call.
Job Requirements

Required:

  • Associate Of Nursing
  • Minimum of 5+ years of recent experience as a licensed nurse and knowledge of care transitions in the acute care setting
  • 3 years experience in acute, hospital based, patient care, must be recent
  • 1-3 years Cardiac monitoring experience 
  • 1-3 years Knowledge and ability to facilitate patient care across the continuum 
  • 1-3 years Experience and knowledge in the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Registered Nurse: CA, within 9 - months 
  • Basic Life Support - CPR


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Of Nursing Bachelors of Science in Nursing
  • Advanced Life Support Instructor
