  • Work independently and take ownership while working in a team environment

  • Programming and installation of automation systems and interfacing with other factory control systems including PLC's, HMI's, robotics, drives and computers
  • Modifications and improvements to automation equipment
  • Review work orders and receives verbal instructions on job assignments
  • Troubleshooting support of production equipment
  • Respond to emergency requests for immediate repairs
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible hours as needed
  • Maintains specified records and logs of repairs, maintenance-related activities
  • Performs preventative maintenance procedures following an established program
  • Follows applicable codes and regulations
  • Cleans immediate work areas
  • Performs other duties incidental to the position, as assigned
  • Maintain safe work environment and follow all safety standards
  • Comply with all OSHA standards and Textron health & safety standards & Comply with all ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards

What you'll need to succeed:
  • 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2 years experience in manufacturing environment
  • 1 year Siemens PLC S7-300 hardware and programming experience
  • 1 year Fanuc robotic programming experience
  • Proven understanding of electronics, computer, and automation technologies
  • Proven ability to read and interpret equipment repair and installation manuals, wiring schematics, and drawings
  • Proven electrical experience, including ability to run wire and troubleshoot electrical applications & Proven ability to use test and measuring equipment...multi-meter, micrometer, etc.
