The Senior Sourcing & Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing category strategies, leading strategic sourcing initiatives, and managing supplier relationships to deliver commercial value, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency. This role serves as a key interface between business stakeholders, Contracts, Legal, and Third-Party Risk Management, ensuring alignment to enterprise objectives and governance.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • Lead highly complex cross-functional efforts, shaping category strategy, conducting RFP's/RFI's, building senior leadership alignment and driving favorable outcomes.
  • Employ strong knowledge of key hardware and software industry players, competitors, and market dynamics.
  • Build relationships with strategic suppliers and industry players and proactively manage and measure supplier performance.
  • Lead and support contract lifecycle work across strategic technology SaaS agreements.
  • Develop commercial strategy for both new and existing vendors. Lead complex negotiations, including pricing models.
Education & Experience Requirements
A bachelor's degree is required, along with 8-12+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement (an advanced business or supply chain degree preferred), and demonstrated expertise in leading complex sourcing events and negotiations, strong commercial acumen-including pricing models, supplier economics, and contract structures-and experience managing strategic suppliers and enterprise-level stakeholder relationships.ย 
  • Experience using or enabling AI-driven procurement tools (e.g, sourcing optimization, intake automation)
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted negotiation support tools, or copilots to improve speed and quality of outcomes
  • Advanced negotiation skills (complex deal structuring, multi-variable pricing models)
  • Strong understanding of supplier economics, cost drivers, and margin structures
  • Ability to structure commercial terms (pricing, volume tiers, escalation caps, SLAs)
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence without authority across senior stakeholders
  • Strong relationship management and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Deep expertise in RFx processes and competitive sourcing
  • Experience designing sourcing pipelines and governance models
