What will you do?
  • Assists the Studio Engineering Team with activities concerning maintenance, installation, and modification of K-LOVE broadcast studios, production environment and audio/video media application throughout the K-LOVE studio facilities both in Franklin and at remote sites.
  • Assists Studio Engineers with audio/video and network wiring applications throughout the broadcast and production environment, this includes duties such as wire pulling, connector termination and testing for continuity and phase.
  • Performs fabrication of audio, video and control wiring to K-LOVE's Proprietary standards.
  • Works with Studio Engineers to develop documentation of K-LOVE wiring and audio/video infrastructure systems.
  • Performs tasks associated with installation of new broadcast and production room studio equipment.
  • Performs installation of computer KVM systems, and computer VGA signal distribution.
  • Performs tech set-up and support for ISDN and voice over IP interviews and voice over sessions.
  • Assists Studio Engineers with audio/video streaming and presentation/staff meeting support in K-LOVE multipurpose room and Pledge Drive Room. This includes a quick and responsive attitude in responding to the needs of department other that programming using these facilities.
  • Assists Studio Engineering Manager with maintenance and file management of MAC OS X and Digidesign Pro tools production systems and other DAW Software.
  • Assist Studio department with broadcast automation system configurations and software/hardware support in programming environment.
  • Assist On-Air Talent with on air problems related to microphones, line level devices, phone record and playback systems, scheduling issues, automation log delivery and audio asset delivery.
  • In addition to daily work schedules may be "on call" for any problems that of immediate nature concerning K-LOVE broadcast facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with broadcast studio technology as an audio/video technician and/or audio technician, and/or equivalent education and training.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of media production, Audio mixers, analog and digital audio distribution and theory, audio/video asset delivery.
  • Experience installing, maintaining and repairing broadcast and/or recording studio equipment. Specific software experience with Broadcast automation, FTP, HTTP, Mac OS X, MS Visio or CAD, digital audio workstations and plug ins, i.e.: AVID Pro Tools, Sony Soundforge, Adobe audition, Cubase, Apple Logic, Nuendo, Waves, Native instruments.
  • Experience with Telos Axia, Broadcast Bionics, Ultrix, and Zetta are a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with studio technology, ability to solder, read line drawings and create wire lists, fabricate broadcast and production studios from wiring line drawings and rack set up documentation.
  • Familiarity with computer networking both Windows and Apple.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, multi-project environment with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
  • Experience supporting a 24x7 environment is desired.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience implementing industry best practice.
  • Knowledge of Broadcasting trends, technology, products, and services is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships. Experience working with creative people under high pressure situations.
