Position Summary

Technium is seeking a highly motivated New Business Development Manager to identify, develop, and close net-new customer opportunities. This is a dedicated hunter role focused exclusively on opening new accounts and building pipeline within highly regulated, data-intensive industries including life sciences, biotechnology, legal, financial services, and services other mid-market enterprise organizations.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in network services, managed services, telecommunications, OEM technologies, cloud, or related infrastructure environments, enabling them to engage credibly in moderate technical and business discussions.

Success in this role requires a proven ability to develop relationships, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and manage long, relationship-driven sales cycles from initial engagement through contract execution. Candidates with an established network of industry contacts and a track record of building business through strategic relationships are strongly preferred.

This role requires the ability to travel throughout the New England region, including frequent travel within the Greater Boston area, to support and attend business meetings, networking events, and other organizational activities.


Duties and Responsibilities

This is an outside sales position focused on new business acquisition.

  • Identify, prospect, and establish new client relationships & opportunities.
  • Consistently build and maintain a multi-year pipeline of qualified opportunities sufficient to achieve current and future revenue objectives.
  • Build executive-level relationships within target accounts and industry organizations
  • Manage long-term, relationship-driven sales cycles from initial engagement through contract execution
  • Lead deal structuring, proposal development, and contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to develop and execute sales-driven business development strategies
  • Effectively communicate opportunity status, customer needs, and market intelligence across Technium teams
  • As appropriate, represent Technium at trade shows, conferences, networking events, and industry or customer functions
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and sales activity reporting
  • Other duties as assigned by sales or executive management for purposes of business development


Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience working in enterprise sales, business development or outside sales environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, relationship-based sales cycles
  • Performance and metric driven
  • Experience with sales enablement tools, CRM, and online platforms.
  • Experience working in telecom, network services, MSP, OEM, cloud, carrier, or related technology environments.
  • Proven history of opening new accounts & generating net-new revenues.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, or data center solutions preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, communications, business or related field desirable
  • Experience with industries such as life sciences, biotechnology, legal, financial services, or healthcare is a plus; a network of existing industry contacts is strongly preferred.
