Job description

Established industrial distributor and manufacturer serving the plastics processing industry, based in Macedonia, OH. We're hiring an Assistant Sales Manager to work alongside our sales team, supporting product questions and customer relationships for plastic molder customers across the country.

This is a senior level, individual contributor role, not a traditional sales management position. We're looking for someone who brings deep plastics industry experience and can speak credibly to customers from day one. Our internal systems, procedures, and paperwork processes are learned on the job, so industry knowledge carries far more weight than tenure with any particular software or process.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for our sales team on product questions related to plastics processing equipment and materials
  • Build and maintain relationships with plastic molder customers nationwide
  • Support the sales process with technical and industry expertise
  • Help troubleshoot customer needs and match them with the right products and solutions

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in the plastics processing industry, in a sales, customer service, technical sales, or related customer-facing role
  • Strong product knowledge of plastics materials, equipment, or processing
  • Comfortable working independently as an individual contributor rather than managing a team
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

What We Offer

  • Base salary of $75,000 to $80,000+, depending on experience and fit
  • Health insurance, heavily employer covered
  • 401k
  • Bonus eligibility

If you have a background in plastics processing sales, customer service, or technical support and are looking for a senior individual contributor role with a stable, established company, we'd like to hear from you.
