We have an exciting position open: Manager, Qualification
The Manager, Qualification is responsible for the delivery of robust validation processes and techniques that support new product developments within the TCE and Market organizations (Food, BPH, Flexibles and metrology for Beverage). This includes championing AQP (Advanced Quality Planning) activities to highlight product risks and set a solid foundation for successful validation and launch. The Voice of Customer (internal/external) is translated into product performance requirements by the Qualification team and reinforced with Project Teams in clearly defined specifications for ensuring end customer satisfaction.
The Manager, Qualification will lead, motivate and develop the Qualification team members. Consistently seeking best practices in risk mitigation, qualification support, metrology and providing the vision for the team to execute in clear actionable terms.
The Manager, Qualification will also partner with Site Quality teams to ensure a smooth transition of new product launches into Site Operations and Quality Control processes. Global quality methods and practices need to be compliant with Site certifications (ISO9001, SQF, etc).
As a Manager, Qualification you will:
  • Manage & Lead and a team of technical experts in the areas of AQP, Qualifications and Metrology.
  • Lead the capabilities and skillset development of the team for personal growth (IDP's), company benefit, and long-term job satisfaction.
  • Strong skills in managing a comprehensive resource load effectively, with quick action to resolve conflicts and prevent overloading of team resources.
  • Providing timely updates on validation status to Market Project Teams.
  • Quick involvement to consult in situations where Validation requirements are not met and project timelines are in jeopardy.
  • Coaching/leading of FMEA and other AQP activities to ensure Project Teams are well supported.
  • Assessing lab equipment needs and proposing to leadership for CAPEX budgeting.
  • Establishing key Qualification service metrics to align with Market team expectations for Metrology and Qualification Reports.
  • Staying current with Site certification requirements and ensuring Global practices and processes are harmonized and compliant with local standards.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management leaders.in the lab using lean methods to continuously improve performance

What you will bring on the journey
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Plastics, Mechanical or technical area of expertise).
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or Business-related studies preferred.

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in a Quality, Engineering and/or Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Six Sigma Methodology
  • Professional experience in project management preferred.

Skills/ Competencies:
  • Strong technical knowledge of product design elements and relation to consumer performance characteristics.
  • Understanding of quality control systems.
  • Basic understanding of plastic injection molding, the potential product defects and impact on product performance.
  • Knowledge of SPC, metrology, lean manufacturing with willingness and flexibility to learn new subjects.
  • Team player with proven ability to influence across a diverse team environment. Ability to develop relationships across all levels of the organization, as well as externally.
  • Demonstrated oral and written/technical document creation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to take responsibility and own performance by setting goals, seeking feedback and taking actions to develop a team.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Fluent in English.
