Job description

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia care team at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. The CRNA will be responsible for administering intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.

Work-Life:

  • Cardiovascular, thoracic, general surgery, urology, vascular, neurosurgery, orthopedics, gynecology (including GYN oncology and urogynecology), ENT, plastic surgery, pediatric and bariatric surgery.
  • Robotic Surgery includes advanced robotic techniques in cardiovascular, thoracic, urologic, and orthopedic specialties.
  • Off Site anesthetics are performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, MRI, and Obstetrics.
  • On Call and Weekend shifts ONCE every 2-3 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop tailored anesthesia care plans.
  • Administer anesthesia (general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care) in collaboration with surgeons and other healthcare providers.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and manage any anesthesia-related complications.
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license and CRNA certification (NBCRNA).
  • Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia.
  • Ability to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and other health care providers.

Certifications/Licensures Required and maintains currency of:

• Clinical Privileges • State of Michigan RN License • State Specialty Certification • CRNA Certification • ACLS Certification • BLS Certification
