Joseph J. Magnolia (โ€œJJMโ€) is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Pipefitter to join our New Construction team. This role involves the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems and mechanical equipment for commercial new construction projects.

Requirements:
  • Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine layout of piping systems, pipe sizes, materials, and installation procedures.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install metal, plastic, copper, and fiberglass pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Install and maintain pipe supports, valves, flow regulators, actuators, and control systems.
  • Test piping systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair leaks, blockages, flow issues, and other problems in pipes and connected equipment.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on installed systems.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driverโ€™s License.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a Pipefitter in commercial new construction environments. 3โ€“5 years of commercial pipefitting experience required.
  • Proven experience with steel pipe fitting and installation of mechanical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard and code-compliant construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Proven ability to measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand tools, power tools, and pipe fabrication equipment.
  • Experience in residential work will not be considered relevant.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in active construction environments.
  • Safety-focused mindset with commitment to quality workmanship.
