Job Summary

Professional Search Group OC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plastic Injection Mold Process Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining plastic injection molding equipment to produce high-quality plastic components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety protocols, and consistent product quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to innovative plastics manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate plastic injection molding machines, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
  • Monitor machine operation throughout production runs, making adjustments as needed to maintain specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on injection molding equipment, robotic systems, CNC machines, press brake machines, CNC lathes, and other industrial equipment.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and dimensional measurement techniques to verify product specifications.
  • Handle materials safely using proper materials handling procedures and operate forklifts when necessary in warehouse environments.
  • Document production data, machine settings, and inspection results accurately for quality control records.
  • Follow safety protocols diligently and participate in safety training to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plastics injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding processes.
  • Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation and troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, measurement tools, and precision measuring instruments for quality control.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and perform dimensional measurements accurately.
  • Experience operating robotic systems integrated with manufacturing equipment for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining operations including CNC lathes and press brake machines.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to industrial equipment operation, materials handling, and warehouse safety standards.
  • Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and process adjustments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues efficiently.
